Korfball in New Zealand is growing fast!
Korfball is the world’s only truly mixed team sport – male and female players, in the same team, working together to succeed. In the same sporting family as netball and basketball, the object of korfball is to score by shooting the ball through a korf, similar to a hoop or basket.
Korfball was first developed in the early Twentieth Century in the Netherlands, which has a strong culture in the sport from a community base to the elite level. Korfball is now firmly established in New Zealand and growing fast.
